Meet the team....

Joshua Berg

Founder; Acting & Dance

Josh trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and Laine Theatre Arts in London, UK. He is currently performing as a Blue Man in Blue Man Group at Luxor, Las Vegas and recently played Ferdinand in Nevada Shakespeare Festival's 'The Tempest'.  He's  excited to soon be playing Marquis De Sade in 'Abandon' at VTC!  Previous credits include Dance Captain on Wicked the Musical UK Tour, Rob in A Public Fit's production of Alistair Mcdowell's 'Brilliant Adventures' here in Vegas; Titus in Much Ado About Nothing and Orlando in As You Like It, both in London’s West End. Josh has recorded multiple times at Abbey Road Studios in London for Major Motion Picture Soundtracks and has worked creatively as a Producer and Choreographer for a variety of shows, including his own numerous Cabaret Evenings and a few new Musicals. He can be seen on-screen in a number of 4 Spades Production’s and Event Film’s Masochist.

Jessica Cimino 

Acting

Jess is currently the full-time drama teacher at KO Knudson Academy of the Arts here in Las Vegas and holds a position on the Nevada Thespian Board, as well as the Kid’s Cooperational Las Vegas. After earning Bachelor's Degrees and a Master’s Degree in Theatre, Science and Administration at UNLV she has gone on to direct more than 100 productions at KO Knudson, Nevada Thespians, and the Fairbanks Children’s Theatre. 
Her students have won numerous awards, including Thespian Superiors in Musical Theatre, Performance and Technical Theatre, and Gold Troupe Nominations and Awards, as well as gaining entrance into performing arts academies and conservatories nationwide. 

We are so excited and grateful to have her as part of our team here at Las Vegas Theatre School.

NeVaeh Jackson 

Teaching Assistant

NeVaeh is currently a vocal major at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts (LVA). She has a passion for singing, dancing & acting and aspires to be on Broadway one day. NeVaeh loves working with youth in the local community as she enjoys mentoring and sharing her knowledge! 

 

NeVaeh’s a 3-time Superior recipient at the International Thespian Festival and has participated in the Institute of Youth Dramatic Voices.

Jason Manlapaz

Vocal Coach/Music Director

Jason trained at the University of Miami in Florida and Mountview Conservatory in London, England.  His teaching experience includes Vocal Coach/Music Director/Pianist at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, UNLV, Faith Lutheran Choral Department and, currently, KO Knudson Academy of the Arts. His Music Director credits include the Opera program at the Venetian Hotel and the Las Vegas Men’s Chorus.  As a vocalist, he’s worked for Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond, the Canadian Tenors, Bebe Rexha, Florida Georgia Line, Jennifer Hudson, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Stephen Schwartz, Jon Caird and Take Six.  Television appearances include the Billboard Music Awards, the Country Music Awards, and the opening of the Smith Center with Neil Patrick Harris on PBS.  As a private Vocal Coach, his students’ credits include professional productions of Hamilton (Broadway/Chicago/Australia), the Ferryman (Broadway), Harry Potter & the Cursed Child (Broadway), Matilda (National Tour), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Germany), An American In Paris (National Tour), Tootsie (National Tour), Lion King (Los Angeles), Mamma Mia (Las Vegas), Bat Out of Hell (Paris Las Vegas) and most recently Take Note on the Family Channel and Peacock TV.
